Happy Singing Monday!
I am so glad I was able to see so many of your faces on Friday for our Disney sing along! Since we did not get to all of the songs on Friday and there were some suggestions that I did not have, I will be hosting a Disney sing along part 2 this Friday. I hope to be able to sing with you all again this Friday! Unfortunately, it looks like my blog post did not post last Friday. I am so sorry! I do not know what happened. I made the video and typed up the post, but something must have gone wrong with the internet connection when I clicked post. I did post the video on Clever, so there is a possibility that you could have accessed it there. If you were not able to see the video here it is here. I had put together a Disney Medley to inspire us to sing our hearts out during the sing along. All the songs in the medley are composed by Alan Menken who did the music scores for quite a few Disney movies such as Hercules, Hunch Back of Notre Dame, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, and Beauty and the Beast. He will also be working on the live action of The Little Mermaid and writing some new songs with Lin Manuel Miranda who did the music for Moana. Anyway, that was what I posted on Friday but for some reason you did not get to see it. Again, I am so sorry! Today, I have a song for you called Rattlin' Bog. This is a fun song about a tree in a bog and so many different parts of the tree. It is a cumulative song similar to the 12 Days of Christmas where you add on one day each time and then list the rest. Rattlin' Bog is an Irish folk song. Rattlin' is a word that, in this song, means splendid. You can watch and learn the song here. You can also listen to the song perform by a group called the Irish Rovers here. I hope that you enjoy the song and come back on Wednesday for movement Wednesday!
