Good afternoon!
Welcome to my second blog and video! In today's video we are singing the Irish Blessing. I have 2 versions for you to listen to today. The first is our good bye song that we sing during class with the sign language. I have also given you another chance to sing along and perform for your families with this song. The second version is a round. For review, a round is when two or more groups do the same thing but start at different times. I will post the song begin sung in a round on Monday, so, if you would like, you can learn the song by listening to the video and join me in the round on Monday. Below are the lyrics for both versions. The second version has some slightly different wording in the last few lines of the lyrics. Click here to watch the video Version 1: May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face And the rain fall soft upon your fields And until we meet again Until we meet again May god hold you in the palm of his hand Until we meet again Version 2: May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face May the rain fall soft upon your fields And until we meet again May you rest in the palm of god's hand Comment below what you hear in the differences between the use of the words and how the melody is different. Happy singing!

So lovely to hear your beautiful singing, to get to see more of what the kids do at school and to get to sing together at home! To your question, Gabriel said the words are very similar but the melody differs in one being calmer and the other being more exciting.
