Happy Friday!
For today's music enrichment Friday, I have a book for you to listen to: What Do You Do With a Chance? by Kobi Yamada. The book talks about what it is like to risk taking chances and how sometimes they don't turn out the way that you planned. It emphasizes how chances are risks worth taking and sometimes when we don't take chances we could look back and regret it. Being stuck in doors makes me think about all the chances we had before: chances to hug students and family members, to get a new hairstyle, to try different restaurants, to go to sports games, or to go concerts. What kinds of chances are you going to take when this is all over? Of course, today is music enrichment Friday so I have some music to accompany the book while I read. Each of the pieces you will hear today are Orff Schulwerk pieces taken from the Music For Children Volumes. Some of these pieces I have used to accompany different activities during class or taught pieces of to older grade levels to play. I hope that you enjoy listening and reading the book. Click here to take a look. I hope to see you later today for our Disney Sing-Along Part 2!
